Communications with Students
The main channels used to communicate with students are:
1. Email: Each student is provided with a College email account free of charge. Any variations in course requirements, policies or academic regulations are communicated via this medium and accordingly, students are required to check this account regularly or to configure it to forward messages to their normal email account.
2. Learning Support System (LSS): All course information including syllabi, assessment requirements, tutorials, lecture outlines and notes etc are provided through this web-based facility. All students are given access to the LSS to enable access to information regarding all units in which they are enrolled.
3. Student Handbook: Sets out all aspects of course information and requirements, assessment arrangements, student facilities and services and community membership responsibilities and privileges.
4. College Web site: Provides a range of information for prospective and enrolled students and supporters of the College. As well it is the medium for publishing all information relating to the statutory obligations of the College.
5. Mail Tray: Each enrolled student is provided with a mail tray. This is used for distributing hard copy of class timetables, exam timetables, College News sheets and items received for students from Australia Post.
6. Notice Boards: Are located in each lecture room and in the ‘Mail Room’. Items placed on notice boards by College faculty and administration are for information only and not part of formal course requirements or changes thereto, which are communicated through Email, the LSS and the Student Handbook.
7. SMS: At this stage no facilities are in place to communicate with students using SMS messaging.
