Academic Assistance
1. As well as catering for 'average' students, the College caters both for those who excel and those who struggle academically. Tutors are available to provide personal assistance to struggling students–especially in the biblical languages.
2. Greek classes in Years 1 & 2 are streamed to provide small group teaching to students who find the subject difficult. Tutoring is also available for Hebrew 1 students.
3. From time to time advanced reading groups are offered in other languages of theology – especially Aramaic, German and Latin – or for further reading in the patristic period.
4. Faculty-led small group tutorials available to all students enrolled in the relevant units are held in a number of units–especially biblical exegesis in Years 2, 3 and 4
5. Old Testament 2 and 3 are effectively streamed as minimum standards are set for those electing the Hebrew stream which tends to attract more able students.
6. New Testament 3 is streamed to allow extra assistance for less able students and to provide the opportunity for extra challenge for more able students.
