Nurturing Healthy Partnerships

For some years Keith & Sarah Condie have been running seminars on marriage for Moore College students and spouses. Most couples find these seminars very helpful. They have been designed to help couples nurture and cultivate their marriage during their time at College and develop healthy patterns of relating and connecting to each other to survive life in ministry after studying at College.

There are three seminars to attend:

Strengthening And Nurturing Your Marriage – Stage 1

Saturday, 12 August 2017, 9:00am – 1:30pm

This is a half-day seminar for married couples who would like to attend a marriage enrichment workshop.

Topics covered:

  • God’s design for marriage – a strong, safe and emotionally connected relationship – includes biblical teaching and an overview of recent marriage research
  • What safe and emotionally connected marriage looks like
  • What hinders marriages being safe and emotionally connected – includes some of the warning signs that a relationship is in trouble
  • Building the positive – cultivating a safe and emotionally connected marriage includes working at being friends, being gentle and loving in your speech and your sexual relationship

The seminar will include input from Keith and Sarah Condie and time for couples to talk together.

Morning tea is provided. We strongly encourage couples to plan to have lunch together after the seminar so they can continue to talk about issues raised. We will provide you with additional questions to consider together over the meal.

Unfortunately, we are unable to organise a crèche. Babes in arms are welcome to join us.

If you have done this seminar before, but it was a couple of years ago, you may find it helpful to come again!

Strengthening And Nurturing Your Marriage – “Bringing Baby Home”

THIS COURSE WILL NOT BE RUN IN 2017

The birth of a first child can have an enormous impact upon the health of a marriage. This seminar is for those expecting their first child during or who have recently had their first child, drawing upon the work of the Relationship Research Institute founded by John Gottman. It will assume you have attended the Stage 1 seminar.
