How to get to Moore College

Getting Here

Train

All Sydney Trains require pre-paid tickets via an Opal card. Opal is the smartcard ticketing system used to pay for travel on all public transport in Sydney, you tap on and off to pay your fare.

The closest train station is Redfern station but there is also Newtown station. We don’t recommend walking to and from either train station alone after dark, but during daylight hours and College terms, it is considered safe.

From Newtown train station, take a 15-minute walk turning right out of the station exit and walk up King Street approx. 1km towards the city. From Redfern train station, take a 15-minute walk, turning left from the station exit down Lawson Street, continue left onto Abercrombie Street and then turn right down Codrington Street approx. 1km towards Newtown. Walk past the Sydney Uni sports complex, then turn left onto Darlington Street. At the end, cross King Street at the lights, and walk towards Newtown/Enmore for about 45 metres (30 secs) to 1 King Street.

Alternatively you can plan your trip to catch a bus to and from College for these stations using www.transportnsw.info.

If travelling from the city alight at King Street near Carillon Avenue bus stop (the first stop after the Sydney Uni overbridge, Wentworth Building and Darlington Centre). As soon as the bus leaves the University of Sydney bus stop, press button for the next stop (King Street near Carillon Avenue). Walk to the traffic lights and cross, turn left and proceed past bus stop, to the Moore College Leanring and Teaching Centre at 1 King Street.
