Hospital Visiting

Return to Activities

An opportunity to share the love of Jesus

Each week we have the privilege of visiting the Maternity wards at RPA Hospital for Women and Babies to chat to new mums and babies on behalf of Mothers’ Union.  We give them a gift, a card with Bible verses and prayers, and a Gospel of Luke.

Most visits are simply a friendly ‘How are you going?’, but sometimes you will have the privilege of praying, sharing your faith or inviting someone to church.

This is a wonderful evangelistic opportunity to reach out to those in our community.

Advice and support is given to visitors, and there is the possibility of childcare, if required, while you visit.

Visiting takes place on either Wednesday or Thursday morning from 9:15-11am.  Volunteers generally commit to visiting one morning a month.

For more information about Hospital Visiting, or if you would like to volunteer to visit and/or look after children to enable others to visit, please contact Karen Williamson.
