Further develop your ministry skills with CMD

Every minister needs on-going practical and emotional support, encouragement and advice for the task of shepherding God’s people. If you’re a minister looking for further development in ministry, Moore College’s Centre for Ministry Development (CMD) is here to assist. The following are some of the services CMD provides:

Personal Coaching, Mentoring or Consultation

CMD coaches and mentors are dedicated to working personally with a pastor to support them in their personal faith and as they lead their church. In many cases this includes consulting to the wider church, training staff and lay leaders, as well as facilitating workshops on behalf of the pastor.

Ministry Growth Clusters

CMD Ministry Growth Clusters focus on developing an accountable peer culture, where ministers give and receive personal support, encouragement and advice in an environment of mutual trust and confidentiality. The coach provides a structured learning program for effective ministry.

Developing Rector Program

CMD has introduced this two-year program specifically for newly installed Rectors to help them understand their new role and equip them through this extraordinary transition in ministry. In addition to training and support, the program is designed to provide dedicated mentors to work beside each participant, and create a small cohort amongst each new group of participants who can stay in contact to share, learn and support each other as they experience similar challenges in different church environments.

Resilience in Ministry Workshop

This half day workshop, held on 25 October (Wednesday) 9am-1pm at Moore College, will take you through a resilience ‘health check’ from both scientific and personal perspectives and give you some ideas for wellbeing in ministry. For more info and to register, visit
