Men Praying for Moore Breakfast with the Archbishop

You’re warmly invited to join the Men Praying for Moore Breakfast coming up in May. It is an opportunity to bring together men to share in breakfast and pray for Moore College. Archbishop of Sydney The Most Rev Dr Glenn Davies will lead a brief devotional at the breakfast.

This group runs in parallel with Moore College’s women’s Prayer Support Group, which is a group of faithful women that meets regularly and has done so faithfully for over 50 years. You can find out more about the women’s Prayer Support Group here.

Principal Mark Thompson commented on this development, “An exciting development in 2018 is an attempt to galvanise many more of us in prayer for the College and its part in seeing the gospel of Christ advance in this city, across this nation, and around the world. For more than fifty years a group of faithful women has met five times a year to pray for the College, the students, the faculty and the staff, for the raising up of labourers for the harvest, and for open doors for effective gospel ministry.”

“This year we want to gather men together to pray as well. We are planning to hold prayer breakfasts to bring together people from across the Diocese to pray and to be informed on how they might continue to pray. In everything we do we are dependent upon God’s mercy and generosity. It is God himself who raises up the workers that are so desperately needed here and abroad. Prayer is not just an optional extra, it is the vital lifeblood of this ministry.”

The Men Praying for Moore Breakfast will be held on Saturday 5 May 2018, 8.30am to 10.00am at Moore College, 1 King Street Newtown. A limited number of parks are offered by appointment when you RSVP. Please RSVP by April 27: email or call (02) 9577 9999.
