Principal speaks at opening of Here I Stand Exhibition
Last night the Principal, Rev Dr Mark Thompson, delivered an address on Luther and the Reformation as part of the opening of the Here I Stand Exhibition. Here I Stand is a self-guided poster exhibition dedicated to The Reformation and is part of a global showcase observing the 500th anniversary of Luther nailing his 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Church in Germany. Officially opened by His Excellency General, The Honourable David Hurley, Governor of New South Wales last night, the exhibition is open at St Andrew’s Cathedral through August and September and comes to Moore College itself in October.
At last night’s opening, Rev Dr Mark Thompson said, “I trust you will enjoy this exhibition as much as I have. We owe a debt of thanks to the German Consulate for its part in making this possible. I hope that it will perhaps whet your appetite to find out more about Luther, more about the Reformation, but most of all — certainly Luther would have wanted this most of all — that you might find out more about Jesus Christ.”
