Thanksgiving service for Mike Ovey a call to maintain his gospel vision

On Monday 13th March a Memorial Service for Dr Mike Ovey was held in All Souls, Langham Place in London. 18 hours later, around 50 people gathered with Mike’s daughter, Ana, at St Thomas’ North Sydney to watch and participate in the service through a delayed video link. All who attended commented on how precious a moment it has been for them. The singing was uplifting, the testimonials were humorous, serious and uplifting, and the sermon by the former Archbishop of Sydney, and Emeritus Faculty member, Dr Peter Jensen, was outstanding.

The service is now available for anyone to watch. Mike Ovey’s faithful, thoughtful and insightful ministry at St Thomas’, Moore College and at other places in Sydney and around Australia has secured him a place in many Australian hearts. We encourage you to follow the link, enjoy the service, give thanks to God for Mike, and to pray for his wife Heather, children Charlie, Harry and Ana, and Oak Hill College which he led so wonderfully for the last ten years.
